The most successful 4-1 concept. The REGIOMAN features the world’s most successful 4-1 concept which has been patented for manroland, with eight pages in single circumference and double-size blanket cylinders in blanket-to-blanket design.
High output. In the 8-page segment the REGIOMAN achieves twice as much output compared to a 2-2 press in collect run with the same number of printing towers. Equipment packages* further increase press capacity.
Low plate costs. In comparison to presses with two plates in circumference, the REGIOMAN offers significant savings potential for plate costs. The press uses only 50 percent of the printing plates in non-collect runs. Obviously, this also reduces change-over time.
printnet® and PECOM control. Press-oriented automation through PECOM, part of the printnet family, encompasses all aspects of electronics, electrics, mechanics, and software relating to presses. printnet’s® modular design can be adjusted to the specific requirements of your printing house, resulting in a user-friendly network in your company, with the press and PECOM system at the core.
High degree of automation. Extensive automation options* reduce waste, shorten makeready times, and lead to lower staff expenditures. Made for every requirement: the REGIOMAN features the world’s most successful 4-1 concept. Basically, this means that the REGIOMAN has a four-page wide plate cylinder with a single plate circumference. In practical terms, this translates into maximum flexibility regarding page count and number of sections. Exactly what you need.
Flexible cylinder concept. The 4-1 design allows an even or odd number of books in the product as well as uniform or varying numbers of pages in the books themselves. The two-page jump can be implemented for all kinds of broadsheet productions.
Versatile web leads. With its H-type printing units, the REGIOMAN allows all production variants on vertical web lead for 1/1-, 2/2-, and 4/4-color printing. Partially expanded printing units and inking unit couplings increase flexibility and enable 2/1-, 4/1-, and 4/2-color printing.
Heatset equipment. The printing units can be used for coldset and heatset* production, thus combining high page capacity and more color in newspaper production with multi-color printing products in heatset quality.
Variable web widths. Depending on the specific configuration, several web widths can be implemented in one system – for example, via adjustable formers* or system configurations with folders angled at 90°*.
Proven folding systems. In the REGIOMAN concept, the folder superstructure is optimally adjusted to the folder components. The robust pin-type jaw folder with a 2:3:3 system is designed for high performance with up to 80 pages in broadsheet format. With the 2:5:5 pin-type jaw folder, the maximum number of pages, as well as the maximum speed for high outputs, can be increased even more. Folder equipment* such as quarter fold, gluing, and stitching, provides the technical basis for a large value-added depth in inline production.
For a printing couple, no vibrations are good vibrations.
Nothing can throw off the REGIOMAN. Its intelligent cylinder geometry, combined with backlashfree bearings, counteracts any form of vibration, even at maximum production output. Across its entire service life, the high engineering quality of the REGIOMAN stands for operational reliability and printing quality – so in a way, it produces good vibrations after all.
Smooth cylinder rotation. Optimized cylinder geometry reduces vibrations to a minimum. A smoother cylinder run and constant operation are achieved in combination with the backlashfree bearing in preloaded triple ring bearings. Additional advantages include less wearout, reduced maintenance effort, and consistently high printing quality throughout the entire life cycle of the press.
High cylinder quality. Blanket and plate cylinders are manufactured from high-quality steel and protected from corrosion by a wear-resistant surface. A precisely defined and manufactured lockup slot geometry ensures a reliable printing plate fixing without additional clampingelements. In-register plate lockup is guaranteed by register pins. The automatic PPL® lockup system* can be further expanded to fully AutomaticPlateLoading APL®*.
Eight-roller film inking unit. The REGIOMAN’s eight-roller film inking unit sets the standard for balanced ink density and outstanding printing quality.
Contactless turbo dampening unit. The three-roller dampening unit operates without contact and enables precise dampening solution application throughout the entire run. Exact dampening solution adjustment allows consistently high printing quality at all speeds.
ClosedLoop control systems. manroland has developed high-quality ClosedLoop systems* for register control. These systems automatically and reliably provide constant quality and ensure low waste through precise registers and perfect folds. Of course, it is also possible to integrate color control systems.
High compatibility. For individual configurations, the REGIOMAN can be combined with other components from the manroland UNISET and GEOMAN series.
Specially constructed turner bar elements offer high product diversity.
