„t“ is only one possibility to abbreviate “time”

Another possibility is for instance APL™ – manroland’s fully-automated plate changing system. This not only makes plate changing faster but also fully automatic at the press of a button. While the plates are being changed automatically on the ROLAND 700 HiPrint, the printer can attend to loading new piles or preparing the press for the next job. This saves “t”.

Fully-automated plate change* (APL™). With the APL™ system, plate position control ensures that the plates are correctly mounted. This results in precise register from the first sheet and saves a lot of time.

Enlarged sheet size*. Selecting the optimal sheet size can make a big contribution to production efficiency. The 3B plus format (780 x 1,050 millimeters) available for the ROLAND 700 HiPrint accommodates more multiple-up images on a sheet.

QuickChange options*. QuickChange covers various technologies for reducing makeready times. QuickChange Coating, for instance, enables the press to be changed from UV to dispersion coating in only 15 minutes. QuickChange Surface can cut the time needed for cleaning the ink fountain by 50 percent. QuickChange Color reduces re-start waste, and QuickChange Job automatically adjusts the height of the gripper bars in the infeed drum and transferters. That’s only a few of the QuickChange options available.

Spoil-free delivery pile*. The ROLAND InlineSorter diverts any start-up waste sheets. This means that after a wash-up or a press stop, there are no spoil sheets in the delivery pile. Time-consuming manual sorting is no longer necessary.

Non-stop operation*. With the non-stop feeder and delivery, piles are changed at production speed. This saves a great deal of time when running thick substrates in particular, and the non-stop equipment can be linked to AUPASYS, the world’s leading automated pallet transport system. Besides that, the system can reduce start-up waste.

If printing were an Olympic discipline, this would be the first winner of the gold, silver and bronze medals.

In 2004 manroland surprised the print media industry with a revolutionary technology, namely the ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor* which opens up new vistas of gold, silver and bronze effects. The high-quality enhancement it provides was honored by the 2006 InterTech™ Technology Award. Ambitions of Olympic fame were not behind this development; it is another example of our “Value Added Printing” strategy.

New design ideas. Compared with the hot foil stamping process, the ROLAND 700 HiPrint with ROLAND InlineFoiler Prindor* delivers the precision of offset register down to the finest detail. The possibility of multicolor inline overprinting of the foil provides a wide range of new design ideas that can help innovative printing companies to position themselves at the top end of the market.

High substrate versatility. The ROLAND 700 HiPrint can process 0.04 millimeter thin paper up to cardboard 1 millimeter thick, as well as PVC foil. This makes the ROLAND 700 HiPrint a genuine all-rounder for every substrate.

A modular concept. Over 3,000 model variants make the ROLAND 700 HiPrint the medium format all-rounder. It can be configured with two, four or five printing units, as short and long perfectors, plus inline configurations with coating modules, foil enhancement, and quality control systems. Everything is possible. The Ultima configurations are particularly impressive, with up to 15 printing, coating and drying modules for applying coating or opaque white upstream of the printing units for numerous inline enhancement possibilities.

Occasional coating*. Printers who only need to coat occasionally can save the costs for a coating module with extended delivery. The ROLAND InlineCoater smart is suitable for simple applications of dispersion coatings (protective, matt or gloss coating) on paper and light board. It is fitted to the last printing unit which can be changed over from printing to coating in only five minutes.

Printing quality is an enduring competitive advantage.

The ROLAND 700 HiPrint is uncompromisingly designed to produce the highest printing quality. This is ensured by the high-performance inking units characterized by fast reaction and a large storage capacity for stable inking over the entire run. In simple terms: a printing quality that inspires.

Perfect ink distribution. The optimized number of rollers in the inking unit ensures that the balance between storage capacity and fast reaction is always maintained. This fast reaction makes remote inking control and remote adjustment of the oscillation start angle* particularly effective.

Flat sheet travel. Trust: the modern principle of double-diameter impression cylinders and transferters provides gentle sheet travel for substrates up to 1 millimeter thick. But verify: the ROLAND InlineObserver* enables the printer to monitor sheet travel and thus makes sure the settings are always optimal.

Smooth and gentle delivery. Even at high press speeds, the AirGlide delivery produces perfectly even stacks thanks to the particularly flat sheet ascent and long sheet stabilization path.

Inline enhancement*. The ROLAND 700 HiPrint can be equipped with a single or double coating module. With the extremely precise chambered doctor blade system, the coating layer is metered exactly in the highest quality even at high production speeds.

Inline sheet inspection*. The ROLAND InlineInspector detects extremely small flaws at full speed. A camera mounted above the last printing unit checks every sheet for possible faults.
